In troubled times, is delight frivolous? Selfish?

For a long time, as a therapist and as someone living with loss, fear, and vulnerability (aren’t we all?), I’ve been interested in how we can stay tethered to play, connection, and hope in the face of uncertainty, fear, and grief. And I’ve learned that - especially in troubled times - delight is neither frivolous nor selfish. Rather, delight is one of the most important answers to that question.

So what do you delight in?

How is that keeping you tethered to play, connection, and hope when uncertainty, fear, and loss loom large?

And how can you make more space for delight in your life, to counterbalance the despair?

Recognize the colours & textures in these images?

They’re crops of artworks in my Topophilia Collection. I’ve really been delighting in exploring colour and texture in this series. Come have a look at the full artworks!
